He meets a girl named Lila at a local cafe (Sixty Six), but comes to realiize that their relationship is doomed ( If I Loved You) ( The Death of Me Yet) as he settles back into life in Cornsersville Trace (Snowflakes In Your Hair.) Meanwhile, he comes to realize that he's slowly losing his mind (How Mark Got Sane). and tries to salvage a relationship with Lila (La Boheme on the Radio). But it's useless; Mark heads off to find Trinity, who, he hears, is living in some place called Union City, having changed her name to Winter, and finds that she's really only (Human After All). But this brings closure, and, after using a pay phone to make plans to meet up with some old friends in New York, Mark drives away, feeling better than he's felt all year. ( Winter).
